Position Summary
Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of the Marketing Department. A primary function of this role is to serve as the final set of eyes on outward-facing content, meticulously proofreading, reviewing, and editing all marketing and graphic materials to ensure accurate grammar, spelling, and brand consistency. In addition to quality control, this position provides essential administrative and operational support to keep departmental projects and day-to-day functions running smoothly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include, but are not limited to:
• Proofread and edit all marketing materials, graphic assets, and original copy to correct any grammatical, typographical, or compositional errors before publication.• Manage calendars by setting up, coordinating, and confirming internal and external meetings.
• Assist with processing and finalizing departmental payroll.
• Manage inventory and coordinate the ordering of departmental supplies.
• Track marketing projects, coordinate with internal staff, and keep project timelines updated to ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist with tracking and auditing media placements.
• Monitor and support the maintenance of social networking applications.
• Maintain highly organized departmental records, files, and project archives.
• Draft, format, and produce professional departmental correspondence.
• Provide on-site support for internal and external marketing events as needed.
• Record and report any suspicious activity as defined by the Bank Secrecy Act (Title 31) and adhere to the Feather Falls Casino Internal Control Policy Suspicious Activity Compliance Program.
• Adhere strictly to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain a highly professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Perform other administrative and marketing support duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager or Director of Marketing.
RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER POSITIONS:
- Reports directly to the Marketing Manager. Works in close, daily support of the Marketing Generalist and Graphic Designer. Serves as an essential, collaborative team player within the Marketing Department and supports the property as a whole.

QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE OF/ABILITY TO:
• Exceptional writing, proofreading, and copy-editing skills with a sharp eye for detail.• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Familiarity with major social networking applications and platforms.
• Typing proficiency of at least 45 WPM.
• Highly detail-oriented with robust organizational and time-management skills.
• Flexible mindset with the ability to pivot and adapt to changing departmental needs.
• Availability to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends, when required for events or project deadlines.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• 2+ years of prior proofreading, editing, or clerical/administrative experience required.
• Degree or coursework in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is highly desirable (or equivalent professional experience).
Language, Math, and Reasoning Skills
• Language: Must be able to converse fluently in Basic English and possess the ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed instructions and correspondence.
• Mathematical: Must be able to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers for basic auditing, payroll, and reporting tasks.
• Reasoning: Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve practical problems involving standardized situations with few variables.

- Physical Demands: Frequently required to sit for long periods, stand and or walk (sometimes for extended periods during events), use hands to handle items or type, and reach with hands and arms. May occasionally be required to balance and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Work Environment: The employee will regularly work in a fast-paced environment and may frequently be subject to second-hand smoke on the casino floor.
Candidates for all positions must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass a background check and drug screen. Applicants must have a California I.D., a Social Security Card, and a Birth Certificate.
