POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position:                   Casino Shift Manager

Reports To:            Director of Casino Operations and/or CEO

Department:            Administration

Status:                       Exempt, full-time, regular

Position Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing all phases of assigned gaming department operations and related areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain constant oversight of assigned operations and areas.
  • Handle customer complaints/problems with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Observe all Poker and Table Games E-Drops as well as kiosk e-drops and fills.
  • Assist in Jackpot payouts, ensuring that proper paperwork is completed.
  • Be knowledgeable of Title 31. Inform departments of correct paperwork to be done.
  • Handle voids and refunds in the absence of managers.
  • Record all call-in reports from employees and notify department manager.  Ensure that there is enough coverage on the floor for all departments, calling in employees as necessary.
  • Assist Security during power outages.
  • Maintain effective system of communications to all department managers and supervisors.
  • Be highly visible throughout the organization and assist department managers and supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain a professional image at all times and a high level of integrity while observing the highly confidential nature of the position.
  • Recording and reporting any suspicious activity as defined by the Bank Secrecy Act (Title 31) and Feather falls Casino Internal control policy Suspicious Activity Compliance Program.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Communicates with all management personnel on routine basis to assure compliance in every department.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

Education Level – High School Graduate, some college preferred.

Experience – Two years experience in responsible supervisory positions.

Special Skills / Certification – Excellent supervisory skills, communications skills and computer skills.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions while providing optimum guest service.
