Position Purpose: Work as a Deli Attendant at the Corner Deli, preparing a limited menu of food and beverage items while providing prompt and courteous service.
Qualifications
To perform the Deli Attendant job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Deli Attendant include, but are not limited to the following:
- Take food and drink orders in a timely manner
- Receive and process payments accurately from customers.
- Prepare and serve food/beverage items paying attention to detail.
- Verify that prepared food and beverages meet requirements for quality and quantity.
- Clean food & drink preparation areas during shift including coffee machines, and utensils, while maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in all work area.
- Clean, stock, and restock workstation and display cases.
- Must be self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- The Deli Attendant requires strong customer service and communication skills; outgoing; energetic; while displaying a pleasant, polite manner when dealing with guests.
- Must be available to work all shifts including holidays and weekends.
Education and/or Experience
Education Level – High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Experience – Experience in food services industry desirable.
Special Skills/Certification:
- Ability to learn and operate point of sale computer
- Ability to multi-task and solve problems quickly
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and unexpected occurrences
- Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Class B Gaming License (As provided for a nominal fee with a clean background check)
