Position Summary

Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Social Media Specialist serves as the dynamic online voice of our brand. This role is responsible for creating, capturing, and managing engaging content across all major social media platforms—including Facebook, Instagram, and X—to build brand awareness, foster community engagement, and drive customer interaction.
Thriving in a fast-paced environment, the Specialist captures real-time photo and video content directly from the floor during active business hours, promotions, and special events. This position requires seamlessly blending creative content creation with top-tier professionalism while interacting with guests and team members. The Specialist also monitors performance metrics, engages with the online community, and collaborates closely with the broader Marketing team to support overarching brand strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies in close collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
  • Capture high-quality, real-time photo and video content from the property floor during peak hours, promotions, and special events.
  • Produce consistent, engaging, and on-brand digital content across all social media channels.
  • Provide dynamic live social media coverage during both internal and external events.
  • Manage the online community by responding to customer comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance, engagement metrics, and website traffic to refine and improve marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer and Marketing Generalist to execute campaigns and create compelling multimedia content.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all content strictly adheres to company brand standards.
  • Maintain a highly professional appearance, demeanor, and standard of customer service at all times.
  • Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other marketing duties and support tasks as assigned by the Marketing Manager.

Working Relationships

Reports directly to the Marketing Manager. Works in close, daily collaboration with the Director of Marketing, Marketing Manager, Marketing Generalist, and Graphic Designer. Serves as an essential team player within the Marketing Department, supporting cross-functional and property-wide initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and grammar skills tailored for digital audiences.
  • Strong photography and foundational videography skills.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools like Canva, CapCut, and social media analytics platforms.
  • Proven ability to capture and create engaging content in fast-paced, live, and fluid environments.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills for on-the-floor guest interaction.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking skills to translate data into actionable content strategies.
  • Flexible mindset with the capacity to adapt to changing priorities and work non-traditional shifts.
  • Education and Experience
  • Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or 3 year’s experience in related field.
  • Prior experience in social media management, digital marketing, or community management preferred.
  • Experience operating in live events, hospitality, or entertainment environments is a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop and a basic understanding of graphic design preferred.
  • Language, Math, and Reasoning Skills
  • Language: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and policy documents.
  • Mathematical: Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers accurately for campaign reporting and analytics.
  • Reasoning: Must possess the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve practical problems involving standardized situations with occasional variables.
  • Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Regularly stand, walk, and navigate the property floor for extended periods, especially during active events.
  • Frequently use hands to handle equipment (e.g., cameras, smartphones, gimbals) and operate a computer.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds of photography equipment or marketing materials.
